Our on-board power generation research group develops solid oxide fuel cells for electric power generation in electrified vehicles. These vehicles have an electric motor but are powered by ethanol. Ethanol is reformed into CO and H2 to feed SOFC which generates electricity. We believe that this technology could be used in passenger and utility vehicles, even replacing Diesel
